Israel is a very interesting country, which attracts attention both for a tourist trip and for living. What is not only interesting but also useful to learn from the Israelis?

Natural green resources

If you consider the territory of Israel, most of it is desert. But the Israelis have made the greening of their land a priority. Such a project has been approved at the state level and is aimed at combating climate problems and improving the quality of life of Israelis.

As for the natural green areas, cypresses, olives, pomegranate trees, figs are well established here. In the settlements, ficuses, oleanders, pistachio trees are more popular.

An unusual solution

Given the relatively small area of the state (just over 22 thousand square kilometers), progressive Israelis have created a project on vertical greenery plantations. Thanks to this, two main issues are solved:

1. Improving the ecological condition. According to studies, 400 square meters of such green structures absorb up to 200 tons of harmful substances in the atmosphere per year. If we consider their usefulness in relation to the number of harmful vehicle fumes, the neutralization rate will be 400 sq.m. to 250 cars.
2. Preservation of the space of settlements necessary for the normal life of the population. For example, when installing a green wall of 1 thousand square meters the natural area will be occupied by 70 cm.

This project was first presented in 2015 in the form of a vertical field at the international exhibition in Milan. Now its development continues, and one clear example is the green walls. While previously such walls were considered structures decorated with climbing plants or hinged organizers with decorative vegetation, the modern green wall consists of modules in which flowers, grass, etc. are planted and grow.

Modern Green Zones in Israel

Such an extraordinary solution has become not only useful but also aesthetically very attractive, even popular. Not only large areas (alleys, courtyards, offices) but also small private objects (balconies, terraces, pergolas) are decorated with such magic flowerbeds.

Obviously, vertical green fields and flowerbeds will only grow in popularity and possibly be transformed into even more unusual forms.
