The climate of Israel

There is no translation available.

From a mild Mediterranean breeze on one side to subtropical desert breath on the other side. This is Israel! In summer, the air is humidified by seas; in winter, it’s saturated with air flows of temperate latitudes. There’s always fine weather in the country if your stay is organized by experienced specialists of 123 Tel Aviv.

You can rest or work in a car driven by our professional driver – for you, the climate in every part of the country will be perfect all year round.

Three climatic zones of Israel

The climate of Israel, from the Mediterranean to the desert, changes from north to south. The farther south, the drier. Different climatic zones – different weather conditions. You need to read about them to know exactly what clothes to pack in a suitcase.

In the north and on the west coast of the country, a subtropical Mediterranean climate dominates. From Akko and Haifa to Tel Aviv and Ashdod – hot and dry summers with a daytime temperature of 30 °C and mild wet winters with the highest rainfall.

In the south, there are the Negev desert and Eilat, a subtropical resort, the most popular holiday destination on the Red Sea, a paradise for diving. It almost never rains; it’s hot throughout the year – the weather is impacted by a desert climate, and the temperature is moderated by the proximity to water. Winters in the desert can be quite cold; nevertheless, coolness is only a plus for hiking or safari.

In the depths of the country, the climate is also rather desert and subtropical. Summer is very warm, with a bright sun; winter is mild; it rains occasionally. The terrain is hilly. Here are Galilee, the Judean mountains, Jerusalem – the capital of Israel with the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Just south of it is the Dead Sea – a place for tourists who care about their health. In the northeast, on the Golan Heights, there’s even snow. And the Mount Hermon ski resort is the most beautiful in the world. Lifts work in summer as well. On a clear day, the mountain offers a fantastic view.
